Five Keys To Goal Achievement

 

 

 

1. Set Goals That Your Excited About & That Inspire You

Goals need to truly inspire you. Motivation is key to achieving goals.

Your goals should be related to the most important things in your life!

Tip: Why is it important to you?  How will you celebrate when you achieve it?

2. Set SMART Goals

Trainers have been teaching this principle for years

Specific.
Measurable.
Attainable.
Relevant.
Time Bound.
Set Specific Goals

Measurable Goals

ie. I will earn $60,000 in gross commissions in first six months of year

Set Attainable Goals

Realistic – not losing 50lbs in a month – rather 5 lbs in a month and repeating for 10 months

 

Set Relevant Goals

Goals should be focused towards the direction you want to take in your life – not irrelevant to overall purpose.

Set Time-Bound Goals

What is the deadline?

3.Written Goals

Whether on paper or on electronic device – they need to be laid out.  Use positive statements such as “I will lose 5lbs. by June 1″ vs ” I will try to lose weight”

4. Develop Action Plan

You eat an elephant one bite at a time.  Lay out the step by step necessary to achieve the goal.

5. Finish what you start

Set – Review – Adjust  
Success is more like a river than a lake – after starting, set time to review what you have accomplished, adjust, and stick with your goals.
